RootList Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms govern your use of RootList.gg ("RootList", "we", "our", or "us").

RootList is a platform for discovering, listing, and promoting communities and bots associated with Root.

By accessing or using RootList, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must meet the minimum age requirements imposed by applicable law and relevant platform requirements.

You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your account credentials, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or restrict accounts involved in fraud, abuse, or violations of these Terms.

3. Listings and User Content

Users may submit community listings, bot listings, descriptions, images, links, tags, and other content.

You confirm that you have permission to submit your content and that it does not violate applicable law, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or these Terms.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant RootList a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and format your content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and improve the service.

This licence ends when the content is removed, except where continued retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.

4. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Manipulate votes, bumps, rankings, or engagement using bots, scripts, exploits, or fake accounts.
• Bypass rate limits, cooldowns, or platform restrictions.
• Submit fraudulent, misleading, or impersonating listings.
• Upload malware or compromise RootList's security.
• Access accounts, systems, or data without permission.
• Harass users or publish unlawful content.
• Distribute scams, phishing links, or illegal material.
• Interfere with the operation or availability of RootList.
• Exploit platform features in ways that violate these Terms.

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action.

5. Votes, Bumps, and Rankings

Votes, bumps, rankings, and other engagement features are subject to the rules, cooldowns, and limits displayed on RootList.

We may remove invalid votes, reverse manipulated activity, adjust rankings, restrict features, or suspend accounts when we reasonably believe abuse has occurred.

We do not guarantee a particular ranking, number of votes, amount of traffic, or growth in community membership.

6. Premium Subscriptions and Payments

RootList may offer paid subscriptions, upgrades, and premium features.

Before purchasing, you will be shown the applicable price, billing period, and included features.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorise the applicable payment provider to process your payment.

Where a subscription renews automatically, the renewal terms will be disclosed during checkout. You are responsible for cancelling before the next renewal if you do not wish to continue.

We may change subscription prices or features prospectively. Where required, we will notify affected subscribers before changes take effect.

Access to premium features may be suspended if a payment fails, is reversed, or is disputed.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund previous payments.

Refund eligibility depends on applicable consumer protection laws and any refund policy presented at checkout.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights, including applicable withdrawal rights for online purchases of digital services or content.

8. Free Features and Virtual Benefits

Free features, promotional benefits, votes, bumps, credits, and other platform benefits may have limits and eligibility requirements.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these benefits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred outside RootList.

We may modify or discontinue free features when reasonably necessary to maintain or improve the service.

9. Content Moderation and Enforcement

We may review, remove, restrict, or decline listings and other content that violate these Terms, applicable law, or the safety and integrity of RootList.

Depending on the circumstances, we may issue warnings, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access.

Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide information about restrictions and available review procedures.

10. Intellectual Property

RootList and its original software, branding, design, and materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit protected parts of RootList except where permitted by law or authorised by us.

Third-party names, logos, trademarks, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

RootList may contain links to external websites, communities, bots, payment providers, and other third-party services.

We do not control or guarantee the availability, security, accuracy, or conduct of these external services.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

RootList is an independent service and does not claim ownership of or official affiliation with Root unless expressly stated.

12. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep RootList available and functional but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, business, or legal reasons.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes when appropriate.

13. Disclaimers and Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, RootList is provided on an "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that listings will attract visitors, that users will behave appropriately, or that any community or bot will remain available.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of RootList, third-party services, or user-submitted content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

14. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using RootList at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, security concerns, fraud, or other legitimate operational reasons.

Outstanding payment obligations and provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain effective where applicable.

15. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

You should review that policy before using RootList.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as RootList develops.

We will publish the updated Terms on RootList.gg and revise the date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are subject to applicable law. Mandatory consumer protection rights and other legal protections in your country of residence remain unaffected.

Disputes will be handled by the courts or dispute-resolution bodies with jurisdiction under applicable law.
